The First Home Key Handover

The First Walk Home

Open sage and cream box with five molded compartments for the tray, towel, keyring, address plaque and coaster
5 considered gifts. One collection shaped around the occasion.

Occasion

An imagined Oregon neighborhood, Clover Court, welcomes first-time homeowners at their key handover. A developer or real estate team gives new residents five useful pieces for finding the front door, settling into the kitchen and getting to know their new surroundings.

Idea

Follow the first small rituals of moving in: collect the keys, empty your pockets, share a drink, prepare a meal and mark the entrance. Sage, terracotta and porch details give those moments a shared sense of place.

The collection

Every piece has a purpose.

01

Little House Keyring

A slim house-shaped metal keyring makes the new front-door key easy to recognize. Cream walls, a sage door and terracotta steps capture the neighborhood’s porch architecture, with shallow colored details and a conventional split ring.

Sage-green shallow entry tray with a cream curved path and a small terracotta accent
02

Entryway Catchall

A rounded sage tray creates a place for keys, coins and small essentials beside the door. A cream curve and terracotta accent trace the turn from the neighborhood loop into a private path, leaving the rest of the surface open.

03

Neighborhood Map Coaster

A cork-backed coaster turns the first cup of coffee into a conversation about the neighborhood. Its illustrated loop connects houses, the shared mailbox pavilion and a small lawn, with a terracotta marker identifying the community entrance.

04

Porch Pattern Tea Towel

A cream cotton tea towel supports the everyday routines of a new kitchen. A band of sage porches, doors and windows runs along the lower edge, with terracotta planting accents, generous blank space and a sewn hanging loop.

Rounded cream address plaque with a sage border, porch illustration, fixing holes and blank address area
05

Personalized Address Plaque

A cream aluminum address plaque reserves a generous area for each home’s number and optional street details. A sage border and small porch illustration connect it to the collection; the address artwork is added after the resident’s information is confirmed.

The finishing touch

Key Handover Presentation Box

A sage and cream lift-off box presents all five pieces in a single molded-pulp tray. Separate recesses hold the catchall, folded towel and keyring behind the flat address plaque and coaster. The neighborhood loop continues across the lid, with space reserved for the resident’s confirmed address artwork.
